a) Lower Primary (P1-3)

-2 subjects (any), $18/h (Student’s house)

-2 subjects (any), $13/h (Tutor’s house OR Group tuition)

b) Upper Primary (P4-6)

-1 subject (any), $18/h (Student’s house)

-2 subjects (any), $25/h (Student’s house)

-1 subject (any), $13/h (Tutor’s house OR Group tuition)

-2 subjects (any), $20/h (Tutor’’s house OR Group tuition)

c) Lower Secondary (Sec 1-2)

-1 subject (English ), $35/h (Student’s house)

-1 subject (English ), $30/h (Tutor’s house OR Group tuition)

d) Upper Secondary (Sec 3-5)

- 1 subject (English), $40/h (Student’s house)

- 1 subject (English), $35/h (Tutor’s house OR Group tuition)

Timings:

Weekends – 9am onwards (till 9pm)

Weekdays – 5pm onwards (till 9pm)

Note:

-Payment every 4th lesson. Number of hours depend on tutor’s availability.

-For Group tuition, maximum 3 students

-Tutor lives at Serangoon Central BLK 420, 5mins walking distance from Serangoon NEL and 10mins walking distance from interchange.

- Student to purchase and provide for own assessment books.

i am glad my blog is hidden far away from public view. i am glad as well that i did not put in a tagboard. it is my sanctuary, a place for me to keep my sanity. where whatever i say, will be archived… so that i can go back and reread them some other time… be amused and amazed constantly by myself.

on the “last” day of school (hihs), i was sick (let’s accuse weijie for causing this hehe)… however, i feel… i was stoning away and thinking of the following:

(1) i feel so misplaced. i want to be somewhere else and be someone else… just not teaching – link i feel i am not doing enough

(2) can these students really make it? so much hope and belief that they could. but do they themselves believe in it? there’s only so much you could push them… it is entirely up to them, eventually.

seems to be rather insignificant to me. but ah well, its the certification that propels you out of the rigid moe education system and into tertiary education.

when i said that i did not mug for my Os, and that my grades sucked. you have to understand the culture that  i came from. did no study meant that, we already completed the syllabus in sec3 and sec4 is the revision (do your ten year series) period… plus having to cope with cca competitions and stuff… so naturally i was burnt out. so technically i have studied my textbooks at least 3 times over… and i was too tired to restudy it for the 4th time.

grades sucked… meaning that if i get any less than A1 or A2, i am deemed an idiot amongst my peers. so you think those from fancy schools are privileged, yes we are… but we are sucked right in through our souls because we are expected to do more.

i have decided i need money. i need to spend. and i need luxury.

therefore, it makes much sense to go full blown into teaching.

but aha… i prefer to change careers every once it a while. it is more exciting that way. now you understand why i have a biz background, new media skills and other outrageous gaming, volunteering, researching and campaigning stuffs i do in school. i sort of know 5 different languages (hmm which i need to prim up a bit because they are getting rusty), 3 of which i learnt for FUN.

never a focus nor a practical one, this babe. however, in whatever i do, i ensure i will excel in it. so there’s a difference. i suppose that is called diversity.

nevertheless, it does get confusing. i sort of want to do everything. tiring most of times… but yeah fun.
